5 km Husky Safari
This trip is a great fit for families. You'll get to feel what it's like to drive a sled-dog team through unique snowy forest landscapes. If you prefer, you can simply ride along with the guide driving — that way the trip suits the youngest family members too.
After the trip we offer warm drinks and a snack. You're also welcome to spend time with our dogs as they run and play freely in our backyard.

On these programmes everyone drives their own team and gets to experience the real musher's life. From our kennel it's even possible to head into the Käsivarsi wilderness all the way to the summit of Halti, Finland's highest fell.
We've also run trips for photographers and special-needs groups, and have taken part in a few television productions. Just ask — we'll make it happen together.

Prices for winter 2026–2027
All prices include the cold-weather suit, boots, mittens, and a balaclava — and a hot drink at the kota. Prices incl. VAT.
Before you set off
What should I wear?
The price includes a thermal overall, boots, mittens and a balaclava. Wear a warm base layer and wool socks underneath. Warm drinks are served after the trip.
When do the safaris run?
During the winter season, Monday to Friday, 4 January – 31 March 2027. Tailored trips can be arranged at other times by agreement.
Do I need previous dog-sledding experience?
No. We teach you how to handle the sled before departure. The 5 km safari suits first-timers, and you can also simply ride while the guide drives.
How do booking and payment work?
Book through our website. Payment is made securely by card via Stripe, and you receive a confirmation and receipt by email immediately.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. We refund 90% at least 30 days before the trip and 50% under 30 days before. Cancellations under 7 days before, or no-shows, are non-refundable.
Is there a weight limit?
The weight limit is 100 kg per person. If exceeded, let us know in advance — we'll arrange a suitable dog team.
Where are you located and how do I get there?
Our kennel is at Kilpisjärventie 1331, 99310 Yli-Muonio, Finland. The nearest airport is Kittilä, about an hour's drive away.
